#Tokyo2020 Women's doubles pair Greysia Polii and Apriani Rahayu finally presented Indonesia with the first gold at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.


Greys-Apriyani defeated Chinese champion Chen Qingchen/Jia Yifan in straight sets and took 57 minutes.


The women's doubles pair were the first Indonesian women's pair to make it through to the final.


The gratitude of Greys-Apriyani's victory was expressed from a number of figures of the country.


One of them, the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan.


"Alhamdulillah, gold for Indonesia!" said Anies in a tweet on his Twitter account, Monday (2/8).


Anies also thanked greys-apriyani for the hard work that was able to make history for the badminton world of Indonesian women's doubles at the Olympics.


"Thank you, Greysia Polii and Apriyani Rahayu, the coach and all the Indonesian teams are proud," he said.
